Following Senior hurlers’ win last Thursday night, the weekend saw more Hurling Championship wins. Well done to Inter and Junior A hurlers on wins against Kilmacud and Clontarf respectively and hard luck to Junior B’s. Minor footballers had a mixed bag on Sunday with A’s drawing and losses for B’s and C’s. Hard luck to Dublin Senior Camogie team including Eve O Brien, Arlene Cushen, Zoe O’Donoghue and Niamh Rock on Saturday’s Leinster semis loss after extra time to Kilkenny. Also to Premier Juniors including Gráinne Free, Roisín Baker and Niamh Gleeson in Leinster semis against Carlow and to Karen O’Connell and U-16 B’s on Leinster Final loss to Laois. Congrats to Dublin’s U-14 ladies footballers including Eva Ahern, Molly Cassidy and Sophia Nyhan on Saturday’s Leinster Final win over Meath. Huge football championship double header in Parnell Park this Thursday night with Seniors and Inters playing Round 2 and both against St Vincents. Inters play at 6.45pm followed at 8.15pm by Seniors and the lads are looking for a big Na Fianna crowd to roar them on. Championship football continues Sunday with Junior A’s playing Quarter finals in Mobhi Road at 10.30am against Kilmacud and at 3pm Junior D’s away to Templeogue Synge Street. AFL8’s away to Portobello in league at 11am. Adult Camogie Tuesday 7.30pm, Senior1’s play Mearnógs and Senior6’s play Castleknock, both away and on Thursday Senior2’s play Thomas Davis in Mobhi Road. Ladies Football Wednesday 7.30pm, Seniors play Kilmacud in Mobhi Road and both Junior teams away, A’s play O’Dwyers and B’s play Cuala in Cup. Our three Minor hurling teams play Sunday morning, A’s host Lucan in Mobhi Road at 12.15pm, B’s against St Maurs in Collinstown and C’s away to Sylvesters, both at 11am.
