Hard luck to our Senior Hurlers who despite a great first half performance and holding a lead for most of the game, just fell short in Sunday’s Championship quarter final clash against Kilmacud. Congrats to our Senior 1 and 7 Camogie teams on their Championship semi-finals wins on Sunday, finals scheduled for Abbotstown, times and dates to be advised. Well done also to our Inter hurlers on their semi-final win in Mobhi Road on Saturday against Scoil Uí Chonaill. Good Championship wins too for our Minor A and B hurlers against Ballyboden and Cuala respectively. Congrats to Leah Caffrey, Eve O’Brien and Jonny Cooper on their respective All-Star football award nominations announced recently. Congrats to Meadhbh.Ni Dhalaigh and Lisa Mc Kenna who won the All Ireland Ladies Handball 60×30 in Limerick last Sunday. Thanks to the very large crowd who attended last Thursday night’s AGM. The Secretary’s Report 2017 (Turascáil an Rúnaí) is available to download from the Club website www.clgnafianna.ie. Adult football next Sunday sees our Inters in Championship semi-finals against Thomas Davis in O’Toole Park at 2.15pm. Our AFL5’s play Templeogue Synge Street in Mobhi Road at 12pm Sunday in league promotion play off semi-final. Senior 7B Camogie team play Balinteer in Shield Final in Collinstown at 11am Sunday. All three Minor Football teams in Championship on Sunday, A’s and B’s in quarter finals with A’s hosting Judes in Mobhi Road at 10.30am and B’s away to Round Towers Clondalkin at 11am. C team play Kilmacud away in semi-final at 11am. Good luck to all teams, support welcome, full fixture list on website. Basic spoken Irish class for beginners starts in Club on Thursday 12th Oct 7.30-8.30pm. Ciorcal comhrá sa bhear sa chlub gach oíche Déardaoin 8.30-9.30.
