A very special Na Fianna Nuacht for the weekend. Compiled by the Organising Committee of the recent Corporate & Charity Lunch that was held in Croke Park, this special Na Fianna Nuacht reflects the very successful day that we had there in early March.
Thanks to all who supported the Committee in the run up to the big day and of course to all those who attended on the day. Particular thanks is due to our hard working Committee who toiled behind the scenes to ensure that all flowed seamlessly on the day and who now provide the following preface to this edition of Na Fianna Nuacht.
As a club, and as a community, we are facing many challenges at the moment as we all come to terms with a new definition of “normal”. Our health and well being trumps all other priorities and never has it been more important to check in with a friend, teammate, neighbour or colleague, especially someone who may be more vulnerable at the present time. A quick call or text could make all the difference and it’s always good to talk.
Over the months ahead, we will come through this incredibly challenging time, training and games will resume and our wonderful club will return to being the beating heart of our Glasnevin community. Within this Nuacht you will see how many businesses supported the club in different ways for our corporate and charity lunch and over the coming months, they need our support more than ever. You cannot visit them now but if you can, consider buying a voucher and avail of it later in the year or when the businesses do re-open, make a point of supporting them and thank them for their support of our great club. If every member or family supports one business, imagine the difference it will make and the jobs it will save. Ní neart go cur le chéile.
Stay home and stay safe.
Le gach dea ghuí,
CLG Na Fianna
