Thanks to all members who attended last Thursday night’s Members’ Information evening in St Patricks College DCU. Over 500 members were there to receive an update from Club Executive members on the implications for Na Fianna as a result of the recently announced TII Emerging Preferred Route option.
Congrats to Jonny Cooper, Eoin Murchan, Conor McHugh and Dublin Senior footballers on Sunday’s NFL1 Final win. Well done also to Leah Caffrey, Lucy Collins and Dublin Senior Ladies on their league win against Monaghan. Good win also for Dublin Camogie’s Div2 team including Niamh Gleeson, Niamh Rock and Gráinne Free against Laois.
Adult Hurling Championship starts this week with Seniors in Round 1 on Thursday against Whitehall in Parnell Park at 6.45pm. Both Junior Hurling teams in Championship on Sunday at 3pm, A’s away against Ballyboden and B’s play Cuala in Mobhi Road. Adult Camogie Leagues this Tuesday night with Senior 1’s and Senior 8’s hosting Balinteer St Johns in Mobhi Road and Senior 7’s away against St Finians. Then on Thursday Senior 3’s host Thomas Davis in Mobhi Road, all at 6.30pm. Adult Ladies Football league on Wednesday at 6.30pm with Seniors and Junior B hosting Clanna Gael and Templeogue respectively in Mobhi Road. Inters and Junior B away against Clontarf and St James’s Gaels.
Na Fianna Golf Society first outing of 2018 will be to Castleknock GC on Monday 23rd April, tee time 2-3.30pm, timesheet Ciaran Gray 0872269133, new members welcome. The Senior Football and Hurling teams are holding a joint Golf Classic this year in Donabate Golf Club on the 25th May 2018, details from any committee member. Na Fianna Easter Camps 2018 off to a great start.
Thanks to everybody who took part in Good Friday’s Na Fianna’s 5K Fun Run and congrats to our winners, Lucy Skelly, winning for second year in a row with finishing time of 21:39 and to Men’s winner Shane Mc Cauley with time of 18:21. Thanks also to special guest Úachtarán CLG John Horan who presented prizes.
